Filtering your water on a daily basis often means choosing between two extremes: the "comfort" carafe on the one hand, the technical and bulky system on the other.

The Pure Filters Classic Tap has been designed to get out of this compromise.  

It is an under-sink filtration kit selected and configured by Pure Filters to bring a broad spectrum purification directly to the tap. It combines a 2-way mixer tap VERY (mains water + filtered water), made in Spain, to a Coldstream cartridge CTO MAX Ceramic and activated carbon (KLT Filtration, UK), whose performance is documented by independent laboratory testing according to NSF/ANSI protocols (depending on the contaminants tested). The filtered water circuit is separated and supplied only with cold water, which avoids any hot water constraints and guarantees simple, reliable and sustainable use, without electricity or tanks. 

Why is this concept different? 

Filter mixers already exist. The difference is what they are really looking for faire.Beaucoup of the solutions on the market are above all comfort-oriented: improvement of taste, reduction of chlorine, sometimes management of limescale/mineralization, and a very aesthetic kitchen integration. It's useful, but it's not the same category of treatment. Pure Filters Classic Tap aims for a "purification" logic, with a purifier-level cartridge, structured test data, a conservative usage setup, and a filtered circuit designed for error-free use in everyday use.

1. Coldstream filtration technology CTO MAX

The CTO MAX cartridge is a combination of high-density ceramic + compact activated carbon. It is designed to treat a wide spectrum of contaminants, depending on the contaminants being tested and laboratory conditions. In particular, we are talking about reduction families such as:

• fine particulate matter, including microplastics (Class 1) 
• Microorganisms: bacteria, viruses and cysts (depending on protocols and contaminants tested) 
• heavy metals (e.g. lead, and other metals according to tables) 
• Chlorine and chloramines (chlorine tastes and odours) 
• chlorination by-products (THM and HAA, depending on contaminants tested) 
• Pesticides and herbicides 
• PFAS (depending on contaminants tested) 
• Pharmaceutical residues and hormones (depending on contaminants tested)

Important: we remain on a "clean" and defensible communication. The tests are carried out in the laboratory, under standardized conditions. Actual performance may vary depending on water quality, flow rate and usage. The kit is not sold as an NSF or IAPMO certified product.

2. A VERY premium mixer, really designed for kitchen use

VERY is not a "default" choice. It is a premium European manufacturer, recognized for the quality of the finishes, the durability of the components and the seriousness of the technical documents. For the Pure Filters Classic Tap, the mixer tap is a real 2-way kitchen mixer, designed for everyday use.

3. The key point that is often forgotten: filtered water only passes through cold water.

This is a technical detail, but a huge advantage in real use. The filtered water circuit is separated and supplied only with cold water via a dedicated bypass.

In concrete terms: the hot water remains on the water circuit of the network and Hot water never passes through the cartridge.  

Result: no more "paying attention" to the hot water to protect the filter. The use becomes natural and without risk of error.

We have made a deliberately clear configuration choice:

• Recommended capacity: 5,000 L per cartridge 
• Recommended replacement: every 6 months

Why 6 months ? Because in real life, it's not just about liters: the quality of the water, the temperature, the use and the stability of the activated carbon also matter. A simple rule of thumb is what ensures a reliable experience.

The Pure Filters Does Classic Tap replace reverse osmosis ?

No. It's not the same principle. Reverse osmosis treats dissolved salts and generally requires water discharge and a more restrictive installation. Pure Filters Classic Tap aims for broad-spectrum purification at the tap, without electricity, without a tank and with simple maintenance.

Does the Pure Filters Does Classic Tap work with hot water ?

The filtered circuit is designed for cold water only. This is precisely an advantage: the hot water never passes through the cartridge, and remains on the water circuit of the network.

Are all the listed contaminants present in my water ?

No. The lists correspond to contaminants tested in the laboratory according to standardized protocols. Your water may contain only a portion of these substances.

How often should I change the filter ?

Recommended replacement every 6 months, recommended capacity 5,000 L. The goal is to ensure stable performance and a simple maintenance rule.
