How does the ÖKO filter bottle work?

How to use the ÖKO filter bottle?
- Unscrew the cap (filter screwed on the inside) from the body of the bottle (remove the elements inside).
- Unscrew the filter from the cap and then screw it back on.
- Fill the water bottle with water and screw the cap back on.
- Squeeze to propel the water through the filter. It comes out purified and filtered by the pipette.

What is the composition of the ÖKO water bottle?
There is no such thing as "soft" glass or "soft" ceramic to propel water through the filter. ÖKO has therefore chosen the least polluting plastic material that is the least harmful to the planet.
The ÖKO water bottle is made of plastic: prolypopylene (PP5), which can be recycled several times and does not emit toxic substances when burning. The ÖKO water bottle is BPA-free, free of toxic agents and phthalates.
The container and the cap of the ÖKO water bottle have a lifespan of about 10 years.

What does the ÖKO water bottle filter?
Complying with the strict standards of the FDA and NSF, the ÖKO water bottle is not only powerful on paper: more than 140 water samples taken from international springs and lakes have shown its filtration efficiency on microorganisms in the water.

How do I clean the ÖKO water bottle?
Depending on how hot your dishwasher is, the bottle without the filter can be dishwasher safe. The filter is not dishwasher safe and will be permanently damaged if put in a dishwasher.
Unlike basic carbon filters, the ÖKO filter is a filter made of a high-performance and sensitive material. Immersing the filter in harsh or soapy detergents or hot water will not only close the pores and reduce the performance of the filter, but also permanently damage its functions.
You could therefore easily unscrew the filter of the bottle while washing it by hand or putting it in the dishwasher, then screw the filter back on when the bottle is clean.
How do I store the ÖKO water bottle?
Between two spaced uses (about 2 weeks without using the bottle), you can, as a precaution, unscrew the filter from the cap (rigid plastic), let it dry and then store it in a dust-free place.
There is no time limit for using the filter, either before using it for the first time or between uses. You can therefore have a stock of new filters in advance without any danger of degradation.
