Coldstream CTO MAX Filter (CF521W/CF1082W) – Ceramic & Activated Carbon Purifier for Pressure Systems Pure Filters Tap Classic

Maintenance and Installation:

  • Easy and quick installation without specific tools
  • Periodic cleaning recommended to maintain optimal performance

Recommended Applications:

  • Residential: ideal for ensuring high-quality drinking water on a daily basis.
  • Commercial: perfectly suited for demanding environments such as offices, cafes and restaurants.

Select the right Coldstream cartridge (CF108W CTO+ or CF521W/CF1082W CTO MAX) based on your specific filtration quality needs and get pure, safe water for your daily use.

The advantages of the Coldstream Max:

  • For good and safe drinking water
  • Essential salts and electrolytes that contribute to good health remain in the filtered water.
  • Maximum chemical protection most effective against pollutants.
  • Filter replacement indicator
  • No power supply required

Recommended capacity:

Approximately 5,000 liters (or 6 months of normal use). Duration tests were carried out up to 10,000 litres under laboratory conditions on Coldstream systems.

WHAT DOES THE CTO MAX CERAMIC WATER PURIFIER ELIMINATE ?

Particulate matter

Up to 99.9% reduction in Class 1 particles, including microplastics.

Bacteria and cysts

Up to 99.999% reduction in tested bacteria (Klebsiella terrigena) and 99.9% reduction in cysts/microspheres (Cryptosporidium proxy), based on independent laboratory testing.

Chemicals (chlorine, VOCs, chlorination by-products)

Very high reduction of free chlorine and chloramine (>94–97% up to 10,000 L), as well as a wide range of volatile organic compounds (VOCs) and chlorination by-products (THMs). Most of the VOCs tested are reduced to more than 99%, with a few special cases (e.g. MTBE) showing a partial reduction.

Heavy metals

Significant reduction of a wide range of metals, including aluminum, antimony, total arsenic, barium, cadmium, chromium, copper, lead, etc., with reduction levels often exceeding 90% and up to more than 99% depending on the metal. For the contaminant by contaminant detail, refer to the CF1082W/CF1075W performance sheet.

Viruses

Up to 99.99% reduction in rotavirus tested to NSF/ANSI P231 (up to 99.97% at 10,000 L).

Pesticides and herbicides

Very high reduction (typically >97% and up to 99.9%) on most pesticides and herbicides tested, including DDT, glyphosate, atrazine, alachlor, etc.

Drug residues and hormones

Very high reduction, often greater than 99.5–99.99%, on a wide range of pharmaceutical residues and hormones (ibuprofen, naproxen, bisphenol A, steroid hormones, etc.).

PFAS and other emerging contaminants

Demonstrated reduction of several key PFAS (PFOA, PFOS, PFBA, PFBS, etc.), typically >90–99%, as well as haloacetic acids (HAA5).

Nitrate / nitrite note

Coldstream filters have shown in the laboratory a strong reduction of nitrates on certain cartridge configurations. On the CF1082W/CF521W high-capacity configuration, the reduction of nitrates and nitrites can be significant at the beginning of life, but is not presented as a guaranteed performance over the entire rated life of the filter. In the event of significant exceedance of local nitrate standards, a dedicated solution (e.g. reverse osmosis or FTO+ cartridge) is still recommended.

COLDSTREAM CTO MAX WATER PURIFIER TESTING AND VERIFICATION

Coldstream CTO MAX filters have undergone rigorous testing programs via independent ISO 17025 accredited laboratories (IAPMO R&T, QFT, etc.) and manufacturing audits without prior notice.

They have been tested according to the following standards and methods:

– NSF/ANSI Standard 42 (Aesthetic Effects – Chlorine, Taste/Odor, Particulate Matter)

– NSF/ANSI Standard 53 (Health Effects – Heavy Metals, Chemicals, Organics, etc.)

– NSF/ANSI P231 standard (microbiological purifiers – viruses, bacteria, cysts)

– EPA Method 200.8 (Metals and Trace Elements)

– EPA Methods 505/508/515/524/525, etc. for pesticides, herbicides and organic compounds

– Additional tests on PFAS, HAA5, glyphosate, perchlorate…

This filter has been tested, in Coldstream systems, to NSF/ANSI P231, with performance in accordance with the criteria of this standard for the viruses, bacteria and cysts listed in the performance sheet. The tests were carried out by IAPMO R&T (New Jersey, USA), an ISO 17025 and NELAC accredited laboratory.

Recommendation for use

Recommended for highly advanced protection of public water or disinfected water that may contain residual microbiological contaminants (cistern, disinfected wells, etc.). This filter is not intended to make water that is microbiologically dangerous or of completely unknown origin drinkable without prior disinfection.

It is not suitable for models Coldstream CA564 WATER PURIFIER and Coldstream CA566 WATER PURIFIER
