What's in the box
- 8 Coldstream FTO+ Filters
- 16 gaskets (comes with two washers per filter. Use one in the upper chamber between the filter and the steel. Keep the other one in reserve)
- 8 wing nuts
Composition of ceramics
Material: Diatomaceous earth, a natural microporous mineral.
Manufacturing:
- Compression under high pressure, increasing the density and strength of the filter.
- Ultra-fine porosity of 0.1 microns, providing an effective barrier against bacteria, viruses and microplastics.
Advantages:
- Denser structure than conventional ceramics, guaranteeing finer and more durable filtration.
- In addition, the ceramic is enriched with ionized silver, a bacteriostatic agent that prevents the growth of microorganisms on the filter surface between uses, without chemical action on the filtered water.
- No loss of mechanical efficiency over time.
Composition of activated carbon
Material: High-quality mixed activated carbon, without animal components.
Manufacturing:
- Activation under high temperature, increasing the adsorption surface.
- Incorporated into the ceramic for stable chemical filtration over the life of the filter.
Advantages:
- Effective removal of PFAS, pesticides, heavy metals and organic solvents.
- Reduction of fluorine and nitrates, a rare element in gravity filtration.
- Maintaining essential minerals in filtered water.
Manufacturing process
- High-pressure compressed ceramics : Ensures increased strength and uniform filtration.
- High-temperature activated carbon : Optimizes the adsorption of chemical contaminants.
- Laboratory tested to strict standards : ensures consistent filtration on 1,500 liters or 6 months.
Information
The benefits of Coldstream FTO+ filters in the system Pure Filters By Gravity:
- Drinking water, free of bad taste and smell !
- Strong reduction of nitrates and fluoride thanks to the high-quality ingredients that Coldstream has chosen for its ceramics and activated carbon.
- Long-lasting bacteriostatic filter protection
- Does not require an additional filter for fluoride treatment in areas with high fluorine impact.
- Filters tap water, lake water, river, stream, puddle, rainwater but not salt water.
- Does not require energy to operate.
- Can be cleaned with an abrasive sponge and cold water.
- A lighter budget to ensure your autonomy in drinking and healthy water.
- Can be installed in most gravity filtration systems Berkey, Doulton/British Berkefeld, ProOne
- Made in the UK
- Tested by an independent laboratory certified to NSF/ANSI Standards 42, 53, and P231.
- Coldstream has an NSF certification
Sustainability
We recommend replacing them every 6 months. Activated carbon, once the device is put into operation, has an effective duration of 6 months.
Filter Replacement Frequency
Although Coldstream requires more frequent cartridge replacement (every 6 months), this offers the benefit of ensuring consistently effective filtration and water quality is maintained.
Our advice
For an average consumption of 8 liters per day, we advise you to install 2 Coldstream cartridges in your gravity water purifier and keep the other 2 as replacement cartridges. This way, you ensure a year of autonomy in drinking and healthy water.

COLDSTREAM FTO+ Ceramic Gravity Water Filter Tests & Verifications:
The tests were conducted in accordance with NSF/ANSI Standards 42, 53 and P231 by IAPMO R&T (NJ), New Jersey USA, EPA ID #NJ01298 NJ DEP ID #03048 IAPMO ID #102, in compliance with all requirements set forth in the N.J.A.C. 7:9E and the N.J.A.C. 7:18.
Their laboratory is in compliance with all laboratory certification procedures and requirements, quality control set out in the N.J.A.C. 7:18; the NYCRR Subpart 55-2, the National Environmental Laboratory Accreditation Conference (NELAC) standards, and the ISO 17025 standard.
The filter has been tested using a Coldstream system to NSF/ANSI Standards 42, 53, and P231 for the reduction of listed substances. The concentration of substances in water was reduced to a value less than or equal to the limit for water leaving the system, as specified in NSF/ANSI Standards 42, 53, and P231.
